Second-seeded Vera Zvonareva moved into the U.S. Open quarterfinals for the second consecutive year, beating No. 22 Sabine Lisicki 6-2, 6-3 on Sunday. Zvonareva was the runner-up at the U.S. Open and Wimbledon in 2010 and is still in search of her first Grand Slam title. The Russian saved 6 of 7 break points against Lisicki, who was a semifinalist at Wimbledon this year.
